I don't have the Air Ride..........just regular.
Anybody lower or raise their pepper and found to have a softer ride?
Thanks.

I lowered my car with the H&R lowering suspension. I honestly didnt notice a big difference on the ride. Maybe a little bit better. But ohh well the car looks 1000 times better lowered.

I have the Techart springs, it lowers the car by 40mm. I feel that it handles alot better (common sense). I also feel that its alot more comfortable. I really love the way it feels now
As Jamy mentioned, it looks alot better too mine is slightly lower than the low level on the PASM vehicle.

...so no noticeable difference with H&R (but it does look better)
...KW will be rougher
...and Techart springs feels more comfortable
Looks like Techart at this point, thanks.

springs
I have H&R's. With only 1.3" F / 1.2" R drop it is a minimal difference in appearance. It does look better IMO but everyone who sees my CAY-S asks me why dont I lower it and I have to explain it is lowered. There is a big difference in ride quality also. Immediately you will notice the ride is more bouncy ( I had stock 18's when I lowered it initially). It does seem to hug corners better but if are picky or **** about ride quality or you significant other it, then you best hold up on H&R's. I put 22" on and of course ride is a bit worse but not that bad (due to very low profile 30 series). Also you can feel a bit of steering wheel vibration but that seems due to the 22"er's
I have owned several other cars w/ H&R springs in the past (no Porsches so I cannot comment) but Mercedes and BMW yes, and have not yet experienced the poor ride quality I have felt on stock shocks such as this Cay-S.
About 2 months ago I called H&R and they had no clue about any info on coilovers for CAY-S. Bilstein has sport shocks under construction and they said maybe Fall 04. Knowing aftermarket companies I would add another season to that to be safe for an ETA.
Just my opinion on H&R springs on CAY-S.

Hey Guys,
I also have a steel suspended "S"... Do you all have the trailer hitch or not? I didn't but I retrofitted it myself recently. There is a VERY significant weight difference between the Aluminum bumper and the Steel Trailer bumper, and this weight is only magnified by being on the extreme back end of the car. Bottom line is that my car feels much smoother with the heavier bumper. To me it makes sense because the engineers probably had to design the suspension with this pre-load.
Maybe go drive a steel suspended cayenne WITH the trailer hitch at your dealer.
Hope this helps someone,
Sam

Techart springs are made by eibach and I believe that H&R springs are pretty similar. Techart is more expensive so its all about your choice. If you do really want to get the Techart springs, let me know, I can get you a very good deal on this
Why don't you guys consider the coilover? Springs lower the car by 40mm (1.5") and the coilover can lower it by 4.5" thats 3x lower ^^

Coilovers
The coilovers I have seen and used on hi-performance cars and esp. on German vehicles usually lower the vehicle 1"-2.5" at most and this is generous max figure.
The KW coilovers allow for a 4.5" drop on Cayenne ????

All I know is that it is made by Bilstein, its adjustable and it can lower it up to 4.5" which is around 110mm. I measured it already and it will be as low as those Techart demo cars with the electronic module to lower it even more
Price is expensive though
