Unhappy Windshield Wiper flying off...

I have an issue I haven't seen here yet. I was driving down the road about 40mph, flipped on the wiper/washers cause the windshield was dirty and the driver side wiper blade assembly came off and and did a nice flip in the air and landed behind me! What??? I have 10K miles on my S and no real problems except the slight shimmey of the steering wheel at 70 mph. I love this car, but having a wiper blade assembly fly off?

I had a 95 993 for years and have never seen anything so odd... This is my first post here, I have been watching for a few months. Bought a 2004 S back in March and have loved every minute of it. It's like a big Carrera! But this problem is odd, anyone else ever hear of this?

Wow! LOL, I agree with Jamy. Last January I had the rear window wiper plastic cover come off when I accidentally turned it on when frozen. The dealer just replaced it.
