Our "S" also has the Turbo front bumper and rear valance and I'm going to keep the valances unpainted.
It reduces the chances to damaged paint work on the highways and when taking the truck offroad.
I recently had mine painted and am very happy with the results. If your worried about possible scuffing from off roading, I would suggest you paint over the raised texture. It will help hide any nicks.
I had my 'S' colour coded pre-delivery as I think the car looks much better for it. For me the black underbody, high sprung stance and short tailgate glass give the car an appearance of sittign too high. Not had any problems with paint damage so far but then the car is never offroad. Had the front bumper modified to look a little more aggressive and have installed Gert/Carnewal's lower springs, cat by-pass pipes (sounds far better), rear turbo valance and tailpipes. Privacy glass and blacked 'B' and 'C' pillars (which I think are now an option) complete the look, oh.....and not forgetting a 4S (996 style) badge on the boot, just to make it a little different.
I attached a photo of my car but have no idea where it can be seen! If anyone can help me with this then I'd be grateful. I see Gert's note about using the "http://" and the "IMG" buttons but this means absolutely nothing to me I'm afraid!
