Default Porsche Cayenne 3.6 PSM Failure code1314

Hello Guys, I have a Cayenne 2007 3.6vr6 EU Version, lately, I have had a terrible issue mostly when in traffic/in the city driving 20-40km/h the car first starts small vibration or has hard acceleration and PSM failure shows on the dashboard then the engine low rpm and stops. When restarting immediately the error goes off but it seems that the engine works under emergency after a 1 km drive and keeps idling or stalling.

I have done all 6* Bosch New Spark and one Beru Ignition while no error of misfire to cylinders was shown on the Computer,
I also changed the Transfer Case oil lately and AirFlowSensor Bosch with a new crankshaft.

Codes are shown on the computer constantly
1314 PSM

P1091
P0013
P0010
P1021
P2293

At another service computer shows an issue code related to the crankcase bleeder which was ignored by the service guy who said that it had nothing to do with the PSM error.

After all the errors cleared car was driven around 20 km and nothing happened yet.

Before the PSM failure, there was sometimes usually after sport driving or hills the all-wheel stops working issue but after restarting the engine, the error went off.

I love the car and I have been spending a lot on it since but this PSM issue and engine going off are disgusting when I think that we have two-month-old baby on board...

Please can you help me with any suggestion on what could be or any kind of other d?agnoses.

Thank you!

13.9-14 volts? That’s not how you check a battery. It needs to be checked while the engine is off, preferably after it’s been sitting overnight (or however long you don’t drive the car). You can pick up a battery tester online for cheap. It’s best to flip the seat back and test at the battery. Also, you likely can find the rated CCA and maybe a date code. Check that out and report back.

Your readings are showing the battery is very weak , if not damaged. Try to charge and see if the voltage is holding overnight at minimum 12,7

battery is always the first guess. Here are some professionals with lots of knowledge. they will help you

with my very first Cayenne it was the same. The shop changed a lot of parts , without success. PSM failure nonstop.

of course it can be a mechanical fault somewhere, but many times it’s related with electrical gremlins. Low voltage battery or wet floor issue. If the drain ports from your roof are clogged, water is finding its way to the drivers floor and damaging the wires there. If you are able to push the carpet away, you will see it. Lots of owners dealing with this problem. Check if it’s wet there. Open the big bundle. Check if you can find any signs of corroded wires.

Have you checked the PCV valve? They tear and cause a vacuum leak which leads to odd codes. If you hear noise from the back left of the engine try covering the little hole on the box by the valve cover.

Hello Mark,

Thank you for respond.

I only heard kind of like bubbling water noise a few seconds after car on from the rear center engine (the AC was off).

I drove yesterday like a 20 km car star stalling a lot, I stopped, while engine was running I took the cable of MAF 2 out and the car was not turned on again. All codes were cleared but the car did not start.

I am in deep depreciation since now the car is like 200 km away and I have to tow it somehow since there are no services.

Any help will be highly Appreciated

Even with disconnected MAF the car should start / run.

you have some tools on hand?
try to disconnect your battery for some minutes.
Connect again.

did you ever made a throttle adaption ?

Could there be a big vacuum leak? The hoses are plastic on the exhaust side and if broken that would lead to some real driveability issues. Trace each one leaving from the intake manifold.
