test for mas airflow sensor
i see videos on other sites showing unplugging the MAS while engine is running to see if it is working properly or has gone bad. it says if the engine keeps running, the MAS is bad. a good MAS will kill the engine. does anyone know if this would apply to a 2006 cayenne with the 3.2 engine? i'm having issues and getting CEL.

The odds of guessing correctly the the cause of a CEL on the first try are pretty slim.
If you believe the internet, there are something like 5,000 codes.
Please buy a scan tool. For the CEL, you don't even need a Porsche-specific reader.
Some auto parts stores will let you use their tool.
The one I use is a bit clunky, but it was cheap and it works to read and reset OBD and Porsche codes.
