Another pic! MCS coilovers and slightly oversize tires inbound (295/40/21). We'll see how those sizes work on these wheels with some small spacers. May want a different set of wheels, but really like these wheels.

For those who want to see what 295/40/21 tires look like:

I have three 2006 cayenne S, 2018 cayenne s and 2012 cayenne. Like the 2006 because of the v8 and it is heavier duty than the 2011 up cayennes. The 2018 though is so convenient with the air conditioned seats and bluetooth!!! (also a softer ride in my old age!!)

I just put the FVD secondary cat deletes on my 2008 Turbo. They sound great but I'm going to do more to the exhaust because it can be a bit more throaty. I'm thinking of having a shop just cut the anchor of a muffler off and getting some other mufflers.

I suspect that you may have my old wheels because I practically gave them away to a local guy from Boca.

I'm about 80% done with my build.

Temporary 18" wheels until I can find what I really want. I haven't taken any good photos yet:

I'm checking about the wheels, but I don't think they are from you since the guy had a different Cayenne overland. Also, 3 of the 4 wheels were bent
Your cayenne looks great! love the color and the look! I only just pulled the trigger after looking at so many options and not being sure. How do you like those headlights??? Better than OEM? They look good and just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Do you like?

I love the lights. Plug and play, easy. I got a great deal on them on Ali-express during one of their sales for $900. I've kept the OEM lights in the event that these fail for whatever the reason.

I spent weeks agonizing over the color choice. I looked at a dozen different wrap colors in varying light sources. The color I picked ended up being Nardo Grey, which is very close to the Audi color.

The car is probably about 80% complete with the build. I didn't want to spend crazy money on items like the wheels until I had the mechanicals 100% sorted, which thankfully seems now complete. I'm probably $10k into incidental repairs and maintenance over the past 3 months.

where did you get the MCS coilovers? Do they lift the car and require subframe drops?

Yes. They definitely lift the car and yes they definitely require subframe spacers. I got them from Orbit in Riviera Beach, FL and I believe they dealt with MCS direct. I was unsure about what specs for springs, damping etc. so Orbit handled that. They also have my cup car there which is undergoing some "refrehing" so it's extremely convenient aside from the fact that they know what they're doing and I don't have to research, rack my brain or second guess!

Huge shout to the people that design, engineer, test and manufacture these coilovers and huge shout out to Orbit for taking on this project. I'm more excited about this Cayenne than my GT4 or cup car. I was initially conflicted about going with coilovers instead of lift spacers, but, I received great advice along the way and ditching the air suspension (especially since the car has 150k miles on what appears to be original suspension) is that the car will ride better for my intended use. I have had no issues with the air suspension, but, I plan to use this Cayenne for long road trips (including travel between California and Florida) and for scenic trail rides and light off road. Avoiding issues with air suspension is a bonus. Plus, there aren't that many Cayenne's with coilovers. Most simply use lift spacers and I wanted to try something different for fun. The forks on the front look super heavy duty. I believe these are the revised heavy duty forks for these coilovers. I'll post my thoughtson the ride once I get a chance to drive it, but, it's getting closer! Also went with 265/65/18 Falken tires. Not sure what model, but chose those sizes instead of 275/65/18 since I wanted to avoid trimming if possible and, in my opinion, the 275/65/18 tires looked a tad too big. The 265/65/18 sizes are already 2 aspect ratios biggner than stock so they should look fine. We'll see!

Alot of progress! Took it for a quick drive and love the ride on the MCS coilovers. A lot of peace of mind deleting the air suspension. Need more seat time, but car felt great!
