Default 265/60-18 A/T Tire Size on 18" OEM Wheels? (No Lift, Steel Springs)

Hi All,

Just picked up an '08 Cayenne S with steel springs. It came with the 18" OE wheels.

I'd like an A/T tire. (Falken Wildpeak, etc)

I've searched and searched. It seems like 265/60-18s should fit without any rubbing issues? Not planning on doing a lift.

Anyone run these and can confirm?

Thanks!

You'll be able to fit 265/60-18 and 275/60-18 with no rubbing. You can go 265/65-18 with no lift and only have mild rubbing at times, though many people find no rubbing at all.

If I'm you, I would 100% go with the 265/65, it fills the wheel well much better. I run 265/70-18.

+1 on this. Running 265/60-18 on OEM wheels with stock height steel springs. Wish I went a little more with the 265/65s!

Thanks all...I went with 265/60 18. Falken Wildpeak AT4W. I didn't want to take a chance on possible rubbing.

Good choice. Pushing the size up to the point of rubbing seems unnecessary. Anyone know if the 265-60-18 will fit a 2004 turbo with air suspension w/o rubbing issues?

yes no issues at all and the consensus, again, is that 265-65 won’t rub either.

That’s what I’m running, no issues. Just more gas.

Isn’t the stock 8inch wheel width too narrow for a 265 section tire? I ran 255 on my OEM 18s and the tires are already protruding quite a bit over the rim.

According to tire rack, the BFG K02 in 265 fit on a 7.5 to 9.5 rim.
