Code 1099
Just tried to get my truck inspected and it didn't pass. Report said O2 sensor not ready and catalyst not ready. Shop said that if the O2 is not ready, the catalyst won't be. Back story. About 2 months ago now I had a muffler shop do a secondary cat and flex pipe bypass after the "stainless steel" flexes they put in 2 years ago rusted away to nothing. The pipes they made are good 304. The drone sucks but that's for another day.
About 1 month ago I replaced the starter, water pump and thermostat, so the MAFs were pulled off
Durametric (I have yet to get my PIWIS 2 working) gave me a code 1099 Air flow upstream of throttle valve (MAF 2) - implausible
Have you seen this code? There's not much in google. Any idea if I didn't tighten the MAF hose clamps tightly enough? And which would be MAF2, driver or passenger side?
With 153K on my '10 GTS I plan on keeping it for a long long time, it's always a learning experience.
