Have there been any rumors of a diesel?!? Well, yes, as long as there have been rumors of a Cayenne there have been rumors of a Cayenne diesel. The latest rumor has Porsche using the Audi V8 diesel for a Europe only version, maybe late 2005 or 2006 MY.
The Touareg V-10 diesel has been available in Europe for awhile now and is to be brought to the US. See this article in GermanCarFans(link). It got an award from some green organization as one of the top ten polluting automobiles.
