Default New here, looking for some help, 2008 cayenne 3.6

08 cayenne 3.6 160k miles, I have what appears to be an Oil leak from the rear passenger side of the engine, took it to my local mechanic and they said they can't see where the leak is coming from and I need to take it to a dealership, I pretty much live n the middle of nowhere and the closest dealership is 2 hours away, any ideas what the leak could b? I do alot of my own repairs bt this has me stumped, thanks guys

If it's towards the top it's the valve cover. Mine just started leaking and it's coated about 6" down. You have to remove the intake manifold, the job is a bit involved but well documented.

I second the valve cover, not much else to leak on a VR6. To find these leaks sometimes the best way is to clean everything off then go for a nice drive. Afterwards, look for new leakage on your previously clean engine. Sometimes that is easier said than done as it's hard to get at where the grime is.
