ABS Problems
Hi All,
Brand new user immediately asking for advice sorry
I have a 2004 Cayenne S 4.5 and I've had an ABS problem since I bought it a couple of months ago. The ABS and PSM warning lights have come on intermittently and the reader has come up with front left sensor but other than switching the PSM off until I restart the car its never had any other problems.
The car has brand new Borg and Beck bearings (fitted about a month before I bought it) and I changed the brakes at the weekend and swapped out both front sensors, the front left was corroded and full of crap but when I cleaned it up it tested OK.
Now I don't get any codes but the ABS locks fires the front left brake as soon as I set off and when I put the reader (icarsoft) on to read the live data for the front left wheel speed it goes up and down so goes from reading the same speed as the right wheel then occassionally drops to less than 10mph but the ABS isn't firing its just reading intermittently.
I've got the diagnostics and a multimeter but no real clue where to start trouble shooting for this other than checking continuity in the wiring, any advice or blatant "its a common porsche problem" insights would be greatly appretiated.
Cheers
