Default Speed Limit Warning PCM

Hi everyone,

I have a bit of an odd problem.

My Cayenne S (MY2004) apparently has some kind of speed limit warning set. At exactly 130 km/h it starts beeping at me nonstop. No message is displayed in the instrument cluster however. When I slow down below 130, the beeping stops. The Limit I can set with the little stalk on the steering wheel is disabled.

However, apparently there is a function in the PCM to also set speed limits. Now, the problem is:

My Cayenne does not have a PCM Unit anymore. It had been replaced with an aftermarket Android radio. I do not have access to a PCM I can connect to check/clear the setting. Supposedly the previous owner set a.limit somehow that I can't get rid off now.

Anyone got any idea how to remove this annoying constant beeping sound when I hit 130 km/h? I live in Germany, so I occassionally would like to go a little faster than that without the car shouting at me constantly

Thanks in advance,

Flo

Have you tried resetting the speed limit using the Multi Purpose Display (dashboard) and wiper stalk switches? The setting should be on the main menu.

yes, I have. No limit set in the dashboard. I think I might have to go see someone at Porsche considering this thread I found elsewhere

Maybe check to see what tires are listed as selected on the TPMS menu.
