Default Cayenne (2005) headlight replacements

Hey Porsche experts!
I think I need to change both my headlights on my 2005 Cayenne. My question to you guys:
- Do u recommend also changing the cables behind the headlight assembly?
- What would be a reasonable cost to replace the light assembly and the cables behind it?
- Do you recommend any particular shops in ATLANTA that be good/fair w/ their pricing?

Please let me know. I'll highly appreciate it.
I'm considering these lights, but if you have some other recommendations, please let me know also.

Thank you MUCH in advance.

Those are the same lights that I bought as replacements. No complaints. Seem to be very high quality. My wire harnesses were fine so I did not replace them.

I don't know if my wire harness is bad or not, but i thought while I open it, should I consider replacing that also...
Did u do it on your own or did u take it any shop? Any shop recommendation?

Easy job. Did it myself. Plan on paying for 1-2 hours labor at a shop.

I finally got the headlight replaced with whole assembly. Apparently below the assembly there is a piece that holds the lights in place and mine just worn out; so, lights don't stay locked in the same place. As a result of that, sometimes the light doesn't come on. Does anyone know what is the piece called and do u have to just replace a small piece or the whole thing that keeps the lights in place?
Thanks experts.

I'm late to the party, but If you are trying to save a few bucks, you can insulate the crumbled wiring on the original lights with marine heatshrink.

Three issues with these lights. 1) The short harness - about 6 inches long from the inner fenderwell to the headlight housing goes bad; 2) The insulation on the wires inside the headlight crumbles and, eventually, 3) the igniters for the HID bulbs go bad.

DIY Dan has all three covered in a series of videos.
