Default Help

Occasionally when I drive my cayenne, the gear switches from automatic mode to manual mode by itself. I’m 100% sure I did not accidentally switch to manual mode. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Are you 100% sure you did not hit a tiptronic button on the steering wheel? It happens to me often and to others as well.

Jamy,

I believe that there is an auto kick down into manual first gear when the car is cold. The manual light will show for a few moments, then revert to auto. I have been told that it has to do w/ the cat. converter -- getting it sufficiently warmed up.

I have also inadvertently hit the steering wheel button on occasion, especially when turning. Took me awhile to figure it out until I read about someone else doing the same thing.

Pay attention to this, and you will probably find that this is the problem.

Good luck!

I did not know that, Thanks!

BTW, Jamy85 and k2kv, Isn't this a great forum? Why not become rennlist members?

Yes, you're absolutely right. I will do that.
