Buyer Beware! Likely Bore-scored 2009 Cayenne Turbo S for Sale on BAT

I, uh, stayed out of it other than my mandatory retired joke. The CTT is an absolute joy to be in for long periods, I can only imagine that's doubly true in an S. But there is a crowd out there who fit that line from the Godfather where major failure doesn't matter because money like that is carried around 'like so many nickels and dimes.'

Oh yes, especially if it's by the dealership that has it. 120 point inspection! I pointed at the number 120, signed off and it's done! or.... I looked at 120 points on the car that had nothing to do with anything. I can therefore confirm the color is black at 120 points in the body work.

I remember when I was looking at the Cayenne for the first time as a possible DD, I went to a dealership that was advertising one where the family still lives (out near Chicago.) When they had to wheel out a battery cart to get it to even crank I knew I was in trouble. I told them I'd reach a decision by X day, which was a week after I flew home. I also remember what looked like a stab hole in the center arm rest.

Oh, but it's actually more than that! It's a comprehensive PPI where absolutely everything and anything was checked (as long as it was on the list of the 30 things that were checked, none of which had anything to do with engine internals) !!!

Surely not what the seller intended, but that inspection report seems to remove all doubt ... about how open the seller is being about this potential issue, whether or not there is a scoring problem.
But I must also say that I am a little amazed that the sound can be so clear to some people. Yes, really, more amazement than doubt, I know about special skills. It is certainly not clear to me. I really try to pay attention to these bore scoring diagnosis videos. I remember that one basket case a couple of months ago that was even clear to me.
And I posted a thread here with a couple of videos for my own 2004 S prior to buying it back in 2017, and got unanimous thumbs up from this forum so I went ahead and bought it ... and no problems. It even seems to have quieted down, maybe due to using Ceratec. Here is that thread in case anyone wants to compare and contrast diagnosis vs. the BaT videos; I'd be very interested to hear explanations of why mine is good (if it is) and why the BaT is not:
youtube videos in posts #1 and #23 there - https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...e-ticking.html
And BTW, for me in that case, I was just buying it from my brother in law, partly helping him unload it, for a good price, so whether or not it had scoring was not as important vs. if I were buying a high $$ version from a dealer. But I did remove spark plugs, inspect coils for cracks, compression test, borescope the cylinders, and get an oil analysis before closing the deal. And just because it has not blown up yet, it still may have an issue (just pointing that out to be extremely cautiously scientific about things).

Scoring
Scored cylinders or piston slap very easy to hear . Crawl under the car and you hear very clear. From up to much valve train noise.
from under the car the typical knock knock is very easy to notice. if there is one. I had it twice.
