Angry Is the facelift CONFIRMED?

Everybody commented and threw some jokes on the facelift. But is it confirmed?

I got the Cayenne thinking that the design would last for at least 5 years. However, with only 1 month of ownership, I'm a very disappointed Cayenne owner :-(

I'm kind of trying to sift through the info as well. I'm close to ordering my Cayenne, but I read of this "facelift". However, the picture I see posted along with the article doesn't look like much of a face lift. If that picture (it's a Silver Cayenne with non-rivetted hood) is the 'facelift', then great!....not much of a face lift.

I did however, just get my 2005 option guide. I'm kinda pissed because many options are 'not available until December 2004'. I was expecting to pick it up in August, but what's another 4 months to get some of the options I may want?!?

Option availability is a real pain; was a pain when I ordered a 996, and was a pain when I ordered a Cayenne. Then when December comes around, the option you wanted is available, but then 2 others that were available before are now unavailable. I ended up getting the 996 two months after original schedule, and put my dibs on a Cayenne already on the ship. Actually, I ended up with a TT because I couldn't get air with the 'S' -- glad I did though.

Yes, they do appear to be photoshop altered. Everything I have heard of a possible facelift refers to model year 2006, not 2005. And, I think everyone agrees that it is only rumor at this point, it has not been confirmed. It would not suprise me though to see a minor facelift in model year 2006 so I do think the rumors have some merit.

I agree with GM Austin.. 2006.. although I´m also a scared future Cayenne owner.. I´m not very receptive of the ideia of buying such an expensive car which will be passed out in a month or two... :S

A facelift would be outside the norm for German car makers. They may make cosmetic (bolt on) changes. It's really too successful to change. My .02

hey, sceptics, read original Autobild article MORE carefully. Attention disorder?
or English is a third language... ?

Article says, AT THE BEGINNING OF 2005 a facelift will take place.
What does it mean?
It does NOT mean FACELIFT for 2005 MODEL YEAR for Cayenne!
It does mean Cayennes WILL receive facelift update in the beginning of 2005
...FOR A 2006 RELEASE YEAR (forgot Porsche release dates/months=june/july previous year...

Relax, no doubt it will take place the same time NEW 911 facelift comes out

Default Have seen the pics and..

If that is the facelift (which I doubt) then I am glad that I have the pre-facelift model.

And for this reason, I am getting my Cayenne as ordered in Feb. and should be entering production first week of April. Also, I like the current front end better than the "PhotoShop" front ends...

I don't have my Porsche 2005 guide in front of me, but some of the stuff that was "Not available until December 2005" was:

- camera for Front/Rear Parking Assist
- Voice control for NAV, telephone, audio
- Sector Lever Walnut Dark
- " " Olive Dark
- " " Olive Light

- Panoramic Roof System (not before January 2005)

Anyway......

yeah, odd. I have a different order guide. I just downloaded the moderator's posting of the order guide and noticed the discrepancy as well?? I live in Germany but would order a US Spec one as I would be bringing it home. Don't understand how mine is different.
