No... knocking on wood 1000 times hehe..... however they do get dirty... just rub it off with ur hands and its gone

In my experience from various Mercedes Benz's dating back to 1976, wood scratches much easier. Eventually, with heat, it tends to crack and warp as well. Ever see all of catalogs offering wood replacement for the Benz?

Wood sure looks nice though for the 1st 5 years at least. I bet Carbon fiber is the most durable than aluminum, but I don't have enough experience with either...
