I have searched and can’t find the answer. What will occur if the transfer case is ignored. Mine is just starting the shutter/bucking Behaivior.

will it leave me stranded? Will it become a 2 wheel drive? What exactly will happen if I just keep driving it?

LOL, they disassembled the whole thing and couldn't figure out what failed?! I like the bearing theory, but couldn't they have at least gone the extra mile to examine and measure the bearings?
