I took the HomeLink from a donor first gen Cayenne, followed the factory retrofit instructions and voila - the ‘04 955 Turbo can open garages. All thanks to @Malibu955 for sharing his time and talent to help me understand the step by step and walk me through it. For my application ('04 Turbo) the approach is straightforward, essentially:
- Pull down the 16 pin dongle from the overhead console area
- Cut in half the chamber two wire
- Add a lengthy spare 22 AWG wire into chamber three - solder/sleeve the three conjoining wires into one joint
