Question Homelink

Picked up a new S last weekend, and love the car. I just can't get the homelink to take the programming. I have done all my other cars, but this one is stumping me. I have a Genie with the "rolling code" technology. If anyone has any tips/suggestions, your help is welcome.

Thanks,

Gary

It will involve pressing the learn remote button on your garage door opener.

Get a ladder. Find the red button on the garage door motor and press it. An led should start to flash.

Quickly get to the cayenne and press the button you tried to program (I think the cayenne needs to be running). Your garage door light opener light will flash a few times once it has acquired the code.

Your are done.

Had to do the exact drill David has outlined when I programmed my BMW. It works. The direct-learn mode from the remote did not work.

Try this site for more specifics: http://www.homelink.com/home/home.tml

I did David's drill on my BMW, and it worked fine. But, it just isn't taking on the Cayenne. I am going to do the homelink instructions from their website which appear to be a little different, including erasing any codes already in the Cayenne (from my previous unsuccessful efforts). The Homelink instructions do have an extra step of using the remote first, and then using the training button.

Thanks everyone for some help, we will give it another shot.
