Buying a 2006 Cayenne Turbo S Sight-Unseen
#17
Smells like a $9k buy with $12k to get it running right and then $3-5k in annual maintenance assuming the engine and turbos are good - which is not an assumption I'd make as air filters (cabin and engine) for most cars are <$20 each and take 5-10 mins to replace. If an owner isn't spending that kind of time or money maybe it's been 40k between oil changes or who knows what?

Here is a low-mileage CTT tuned to Turbo S+ levels with exhausts, coolant pipes, Water pump, A/V upgrade, yada-yada....

True, but this one needs absolutely NOTHING for the next 100k. Water pump and valve covers were even done. Previous owner sunk $45,000 into this one!

An inexpensive German car can be the most expensive car you'll ever own. (Me.)
Given the location shown in the photo (is that the sales office or the shop?) and the list of things that are not right - I'd RUN AWAY RUN AWAY.
You'll likely buy it anyway - so I wish you the best of luck with it, and hope you prove me to be FOS..

several years ago I did the same because I pay to much attention on my wife’s judgement: such a nice car.
until now I would say, I spent almost the same money on repair and parts comparing to the cars initial price 5 years ago.
Better spent some some more money for a „clean“ vehicle.

I just sold my 06 Titanium S at 68,300 miles with tons of options, near perfect paint and meticulous over-maintenance for $10k. Car needs nothing and has full records, a spare set of factory rims with Blizzaks, 2 sets of factory floor mats including the winter rubber ones and both keys (of course).
It has only 2 codes towing up (rain sensing wiper and left headlight leveler) but I can not find any reason for them to be showing up as everything works.
Run from that POS as fast as you can!
There are many Rennlisters and Porsche individuals that take great care of our cars and sell them as part of a regular replacement cycle.
I replaced it with a meticulously maintained 09 Turbo with tons of options and 41k miles for $26k. Need to buy winter rims and snows though...

Purchased my 65K mile ‘08 CS with ZERO issues other than a curbed wheel. It needed nothing.
Great cars are out there, you just have to be patient and diligent. Don't let lust take over as it usually ends in a costly divorce.
