According to this thread, I think the Toslink to MOST conversion happens within the CDC-4, not the PCM.

Notice the installation process requires rerouting the AMP out to CDC in, and CDC-out to PCM/CDR23 head unit, then back to AMP. It is a MOST network ring.

The yellow connector, with the shielded wire, next to the bottom left corner, is the diversity antenna lead.
The black connector, with the orange wires, is the MOST optical connector.
The black connector, in the middle right side, is the power connector.
The unused connector location, above the power connector, is the speaker connector. (The vehicle speakers are instead connected to the MOST amplifier.)
The yellow connector, above the power connector, is the CAN Infotainment bus speaker connector.
The unused connector location, between the yellow and blue connectors, is the microphone connector.
The blue connector, above the power connector, is the emergency call connector.
The unused green connector, in the top right corner, is the video TV connector.
The connector, with the shielded wire, partially visible, in the bottom right corner, is the navigation antenna lead.
