Odometer Trip Button

Odometer Trip Button
The trip button when pressed does not zero the odometer reading, I know that these often fail, can it be repaired or is it better to buy a new button from Porsche at probably an extortionate price?

I fixed both buttons with a credit card and epoxy: cut a trinagular piece of old credit card or similar, something that will not bend when pressed against the cluster, and glue it with the epoxy where the button starts to be hollow underneath, following its shape. Just look at it and you will understand. Use the epoxy to fill the rest of the area and you are done. Let it cure, trim any plastic or expoy if necessary and back to the cluster.
