I finally replaced the rear tires with the Yokohamas - could not find another brand with the size in stock - and the final config is front axle Vredesteins Ultrac Vorti and rear axle Yokohama Advan Sport V103B N-0 rated, all wheels 275/40/20 size and the car behaves normally. The fronts have been used for around 600 miles before replacing the rears.

Seems that this could end up becoming a bigger issue. Or am I misunderstanding?
They are winter tires so they will likely be replaced for being old before they get anywhere near worn out

This meant that I had to travel home on three new tyres (275/45/20) and one of my old tyres (270/40/20).

I was obviously quite cautious on the drive home but immediately my car freaked out and went into limp mode until I switched off PASM and continued home. Having the final (correct sized) tyre fitted the next day allowed everything to return to normal .
Glad to hear it work out. How long did it take for the car to freak out and what did it do? My car immediately corrected itself as well as soon as I got home and put the matching tires on the rear.

Thanks for following up with the results. In the first post, you listed 275/40R20, here it shows 270.... Which is correct? 4.35% difference vs. 3.78%, both pretty big. Interesting that the PASM was immediately unhappy, and glad you could just switch it off and no longer term issues once the correct tire was on.
