Default Burned audio CD for CD changer

I tried to burn an audio CD with some of my favorite tunes, but the CD changer does not recognize it. I have a Bose LifeStyle 35 system in my den that will play this disk, so I'm surprised the car system does not.

I'm pretty sure the car will not play MP3's, so I tried to make sure I burned the disk as an audio disk, not an MP3. Now I realize I may have not done that correctly, because I think the LifeStyle does play MPs's.

Has anyone else tried this?

Thanks

ALso consider the media. CD-RWs may have difficulty playing in the German cars. I use CD-Rs and burn them at a relative slow speed.

I have never managed to get the Becker CD changers in either my Porsches or my Audis to play copied CDs. It's the same unit in both marques (at least it has been in the A4, S6, RS6, Boxster S and 996, from experience -- I can't speak for the Cayenne as I don't have one yet). Those of you who say you have them working -- is this the standard Porsche-badged changer, and which country are you in?

Mine is the standard changer from Porsche. At present I believe it is the only one that works on the Cayenne. There may be something to the brand or type of disk used. CDR's are more compatible than CDRW's. I have found Mitsui CDR's to be the most compatible. HP branded CD's were once made by Mitsui, they may still be.

Default Not only are CD-R's supported...

but the PCM will display CD-TEXT too. All track titles and the album name can be displayed.

I user Nero to copy purchased CDs onto CD-R media with CD-TEXT. Makes the Track List function alot more useful.
