Default Are Q7 compressors different than ours?

2009 CTTS: I keep getting the "Chassis system faulty" at random occasions but especially when hitting potholes and such, so my indy recommended I change the air suspension compressor. OEM prices are eye-watering so I bought a Chinese one from fleabay:

It says in the headline that it suits Cayenne and I didn't really check the compatibility tool in the ad since they never seem to know what my car is: the closest option is a "955" Turbo S 4.8 with 550 HP, but as we all know that's a 957. Anyhow, I was under the impression that Q7 works for Touareg works for Cayenne when it comes to these things. But today my indy calls and tells me there's a hole with thread in my old compressor which is missing in the new one, and therefore the new compressor cannot be mounted.

Has anybody seen anything similar, and am I wrong that the three cars share the same compressors? Could this even be a 2009 Turbo S quirk? I'll have to get a new compressor but am a bit hesitant because I don't want the same trouble again!

Old compressor. Closeups are of the marked area.
