PCM Navigation Software-Versions?
According to the TSB, an update to the PCM to software version 3.0 requires a new set of Navigation CDs (2003 instead of 2002).
I just got my car back from the dealer (separate post with details follows). They installed PCM v3.0 (to view the version: press "Main" and "Trip" at the same time), but the old Navi-CDs still work. I suspect that they updated the PCM but the Navi-subsystem-update failed. In order to verify this, I would be thankful if anyone who is using the new Navi-CDs could check the version number of the navigation system.
To view this, press an hold the "Set" button, then press "FM/AM" and "Audio" at the same time (see pic below). Thanks.

When my Cayenne arrived I had version 3.0 already installed in the PCM.
The Nav discs did not come for a week. SO in the meantime I used my 2.0 version discs from my 911.
It worked fine. But when you install the version 3 discs in the PCM for the first time, the PCM will display a message that it is updating the software.
SO I think 2.0 discs work until you insert 3.0 discs and the software updates.

David, thanks very much for that quick reply.
Did you notice any difference/improvements between the two versions?
(Isn't it funny that we - thanks to this board - have to teach our dealers. I always thought that it should be the other way around ... )
