I am looking to buy a car for my wife we currently have a 2000 A8L and have ordered a new A8L but I after picking up my 04 turbo cabriolet got a little bit more interested in the cayenne. Since it is for my wife I don't want to spring for the TT cayenne but does anyone have any opinions. I will take the car to Idaho but don't know how much I am going to enjoy taking my 60-70K car offroad.

I was considering the A8L or a Cayenne.
After reading a road test on the A8L, I was turned off by the speed limiter which I think is a 128 MPH. Fast enough, but the thought of a limiter turned me off.
Took the Cayenne.

Off-road? Did someone say off-road?
The Cayenne S is also a $60-70 car but I don't mind taking it off-road. If you get the air suspension you will not worry about banging up the undercarriage. With the suspension raised everything is well out of the way.
If you have much off-road driving to do in Idaho the Cayenne would be a good choice. If it will only rarely be off-road it's a tougher choice. The A-8 is a nice car. I would personally still prefer the Cayenne.

I have driven both the Cayenne S and the new Audi A8L, and i liked the way the cayenne drove alot better. They ar epretty different but where the CAyenne is the most dynamic/best suv to drive tere are many sedans that drive better than the new A8.
