While I'm certainly interested... Two issues come to mind. How many of these are currently installed? I'm not interested in paying to be a beta tester for my $100,000 SUV. Then there is the warranty issue. But hey I'm all for more power. There's nothing like the satisfaction of blowing a sports car off the line in an SUV.

Default warranty-check this out--powerchip

Dear bruce,

Many of our customers are concerned about their new car warranty, and how the Powerchip will effect it. Often dealers give customers the impression that the warranty for the vehicle will be made void if any modifications / improvements are made.

Because this is obviously an issue for concern, we have designed the system so that you can still enjoy the potential of your car and have fun, without anyone ever knowing you have made the change. We can achieve this by reverse engineering the standard Engine Management Software, and making the Powerchip so that it appears 'electronically' the same as the standard program. This means that the diagnostic equipment used at your local service centre cannot detect that any cange as been made, and thus your warranty is totally covered.

One of the best things about the Powerchip is that when you have the car serviced, the dealer cannot find your chip in any way. Generally, the dealer will run a diagnostic check over the vehicle, to see if any faults or problems have been logged in the vehicles computer. The Powerchip will interact in exactly the same way as the standard chip, and will not alert the dealer of any change.

Because the POWERCHIP is covered for a period of up to 3 years, we will cover any problems that may have been caused by the installation of the Powerchip for this period. Over our 10 years of business, we have never had any problems with vehicles using the Powerchip, so you can be confident in knowing that your warranty will not be affected with the fitment of a Powerchip.

Kind regards

Is your chip given the identical part number to the original Porsche chip? If Porsche suspicions that the whole board has been modified in some way, and it discovers your chip, do you cover the complete repair cost a Porsche owner must face with the dealership? If an engine is damaged and a customer of yours claims it was caused by your chip, do you honor that claim? Does your company engage in binding arbitration if there is a claim dispute? Why do you assume that Porsche is so inept that it would not be able to detect your chip from the physical damage potentially done to an engine? What type of liability insurance does your company have to cover any damage? Is it licensed and bonded? If so, please give us license number and surety data if you would be so kind.

sounds suspicious - a chip gives more power through changed parameters
and even if the chip gets not dedected the sys save near all engine parameters and in case of a motor blow-up your busted. and in this case it
dont helps you too much to have guarantee from chip provider on all damages THE CHIP been responsible for cuz factory void the warranty in total by such modifications - so other damages too where Chip is not involved. i think its more clever to go directly for a stronger car if yours
seems to slow.

my benz dealer told me that the factory busted a couple of customers who
claims for guarantee even if they exchanged the chip before. i think the electronics are very simular in modern cars and save more data we all expect.
