Best way of removing air compressor
Just posting this as I’ve tackled the ‘jimi fix’ today and I’m hoping to tackle the air suspension compressor piston ring tomorrow. What’s the best way of doing it, can I do it without jacking up the car? I’ve found some articles but there seems to be limited info.
Surely the suspension system will fall when I disconnect the hoses?
Can I do the ring swap in situ or do I need to pull it out and put in on the bench?
I’m using the UK supplied ‘Bagpipe Andy’ set which has had good reviews and is engineered in Scotland. Any advice would be appreciated.

I think the only place to get it is direct from their ebay store (from the UK) https://www.ebay.com/itm/16248475649...Bk9SR_KWubm8YQ
in special terrain height there should be plenty of room, no need to jack it up. You also don't need to totally remove the compressor to install the new piston ring, you should be able to remove the compressor head without disconnecting the airlines, etc..

Thanks MtnDogGeoff, I guess I didint look hard enough on Ebay, I should have been able to find that. I did find Andy's email, to ask if there is US supply so I will post back what I find for others.
Have you done this repair yourself? I was wondering if I could change the ring without removal of the whole compressor, Ill plan on that approach and see how it goes.
Ill try to post a write up with pics since I am not seeing too many on the web.
