04 Porsche Cayenne turbo

Im wondering how to detach the brake booster rod from the pedal. It looks like its threaded into a plastic piece that snaps into the pedal arm. I don't want to break the plastic piece, which is going to happen if i pry it out of the pedal arm, so i can't really tell how it attaches. Any help?

Bzab1987, did you every figure this out, I saw somewhere there might be a special tool to use to remove it? Any tips on removing the booster, I might have to do this job on my 05 CTT.

I pulled the vac line to the booster, pulled a vac on it and it sat without budging all nite.
Ive done all the other typical pedal hold tests and such from inside the car, and the booster and master check out fine. So I don't think I jagged to do this job, but if do Ill be more prepared, thanks again.

Can you comment on what was wrong with your booster, sypmtoms, what failed on it?
