My Cayenne remembers the initial dash display. It was built Oct 21 '04.
I have seen the amplifier unavailable message as well.
This occurred on a trip from east of the Mississippi to west of the Mississippi. I was in Ohio. With west CD inserted, I tried to enter a western destination into the Nav. The Nav freaked, obviously rebooted, and I received the amplifier error. Restarting the car cleared the amp message. This happened about five times in a row, until I gave up. Since I will be in the west 99.9% of the time, I had forgotten about it.
Cheers, Dak

Update:
DanP, I set the display to average mpg, reset seat memory (got confirmation tone), shut off car, restarted it and it's still back to average mph. Will call my local dealer to find out if there is a cluster S/W update via the PST2....then decide if I have the nerve to attempt the update!
dfar: The CDR23 has very poor FM tuner sensitivity/selection (no, I'm not Becker bashing), just being an electrical engineer.
