Default thermal glass

S and TT come standard with "heat-insulating laminated glass with enhanced reflectivity (all windows) and privacy glass on all rear windows," per P brochure.

Does anyone have any technical info on the thermal insulating glass option vs the standard glass?--how much extra do you get for your $1K?

If you investigate previous threads you will find this subject well covered.
Basically the I.G. gives one a cooler, quieter, and more attack resistant material.

Spoke with a rep at PCNA. Says that the thermal glass would be expected to keep a car out on a hot day about 25 degrees (Farenheit) cooler than one with the standard glass.

That is, if the outside temp is 100, and the standard car climbed to 155 degrees inside, the thermal glass car might get to 130.

Sounds like a substantial difference if the car is in these conditions a lot.
