I think there is a translation problem here or a basic misunderstanding of tuning.

I have often thought people from Cambridge spoke a different language.

Seriously though, I would like to see a "tuner" do something in another direction from what I have seen so far. I want to see huge all terrain tires and lots of skidplates. Maybe add a couple of Warn winches and a Hi-Lift jack strapped to the side.

I think you'll have to wait a few years for the resale prices to come down or maybe a salvage Cayenne.

I haven't seen evidence of that market reaching very deep into pocket for initial car (respecs are another issue). I just saw my first Grand Cheroke (95?) tricked to local sand dunes. almost 18"+/- clearance. Front /rear plastic off; it was a brute (but well done).

Being the way I am, I got the visual of the Monster Truck Cayenne Bad Boy.

I like the Monster Truck vision pretty well too. It's pretty funny.

How about a Baja 1000 modified Cayenne? Or Paris-Dakar?

Hmmm....... Can you imagine a 5000lb cayenne catching air in Baja - ugh. there are limits, but Paris Dakar, Hmmmmmm that's doable I think.

It looks like VW is going for the Paris-Dakar. How likely is it that they would both compete at the same time?

Speaking of catching air, I would sure like to get a photo of my Cayenne fully off the ground on some dirt road. I doubt I have the nerve to really do it, even if I did find the right road. I am looking though.

I would definitely like a pic of that. Hey, I've still got the loaner . . .. Hey, my salesman reads the board. He saw the pics of your car with the dirt on the sides and asked if the loaner was okay! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Amen, GM.

As for Geoff's loaner, I can't believe they asked you if it was ok. Actually, I can't believe the dealership reads these boards. You should have seen their faces when I took my Cayenne in the week after our trip to get the tire fixed. They asked which tire had the problem, and I pointed to the top of the car with the shredded tire on the rack. They weren't even sure how to get it down. Geoff, did they tell you an approximate time that you'd be getting you car back? It's been over 2 weeks already.
