Default Cayenne Owner Profile

Porsche obviously has some customer demographic in mind for the Cayenne in terms of age, gender, income, etc. Was wondering about that as far as the owners on this board. I'm 43, male, first time Porsche owner, previously owned BMW X5, Audi A8, Isuzu Trooper, etc.

I am a 50 year old male. The Cayenne S is my third Porsche. I bought a 996 Cab. in October 1999. I still own it and drive it daily. I bought a 944S2 in 2003. I use it as a track car. I bought the Cayenne in July to replace a 1995 M-B E320 that my wife was using as her daily driver. I get to drive the Cayenne when I need to tow the track car. I have owned several BMW's and one other M-B.

29 year old professional (currently mobilized Army Reservist in the desert as well). Just bought a Cayenne TT. Second P. Bought a new Boxster in 99, which I still have. Also have an X5 (soon to be gone in favor of a sedan, maybe a new 5 series). Had a 99 3 series prior to that. I am also a big fan of Jeeps. Had a 97 Sahara and still have a 77 CJ7 sitting in a garage in Maine. Loved the X5, but after I took a Cayenne for a test drive, it won me over. I am still a huge BMW fan as far as sedans go, though. Sporty, but still classy. Not sure what to think about the new 5, but that is question for other boards!

This always makes a good post, its nice to learn about out fellow Porsche Enthusiast's.

On that note, Im 30 years old , no kids, one dog, and 11 fish.. and one beautiful girlfriend that has been with me for 10 years. I bought my fist Porsche in 2000 when I was 27, a 1999 996 Cab. Since then we have purchased a 2001 Bosxter for her and of course the recent new toy, the Cayenne S that replaced a 01 4.4 X5. The garage is full and now I'm looking for early 68-73 911 to setup as a Track Car.

Well, well..........

This week I received my Medicare card, you do the math. Safe to say I'm a fringe buyer and user.

Being an old motorhead, I can tell you; I haven't had as much fun talking about cars in many years, than I've had on these forums. Many times it's like sitting around a big roundtable with everyone having beers and telling war stories & giving each other help.

It's fraternity; and I appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm 34 - married, with one 21 month old daughter entering her terrible twos, and 1 German shepard mix. I've never been an SUV person until the Cayenne came out and I test drove it. Also own a 2000 996 C2. Just recently sold my 2000 Audi S4 (which I now miss dearly) and 2003 Honda CRV (don't ask - I somehow convinced myself and my wife that we could live with a cheap pseudo SUV since we weren't SUV folks - big mistake since we sold it after only 6 months of ownership).

41, Cayenne is my 8th P after 993 C4, 964 Speedster, 964 C2 Cab WTL, 2 x 964 RS, 996 GT3 (99 with the nice wing), Cayenne S black, now Cayenne S silver. Beside allways Benzes as daily drivers, actually SL500. Will go for a 911 again when the 997 comes out and looking for a 964 RS for trackuse.

Will keep the Cayenne as daily driver than and get rid of the Benz cuz Cayenne is a great comparsion to a Benz but never ever to a 911.

Male, 38. First time porsche buyer. I have a wife & 2 kids (4 & 6 yrs old). I have always like the porsche brand, but practical consideration always dictated a more practical family car. The Cayenne seems to offer the best of both worlds.

Torags, what I would give for a nice cold Sam Adams right about now. A year without one hasn't been fun! Oh well, 32 days and counting till I get home!

37, male, professional- supposed to be my wife's vehicle, but she keeps saying it's really like I have 2 cars (other is a Audi TT roadster) and she just gets to borrow one occasionally.
