Will the 3.6L 911 (996.2) oil pan swap on to a 2001 Boxster S? Is there any benefits to doing such?
The oil pan is integral to the engine. All that is possibly swappable is the sump plate and there nothing to be gained from this swap unless the 3.2l plate is bad and you have a good 3.6l sump plate handy.
If you want more oil capacity there are deeper/dished sump plates with better baffling and something to extend the oil pickup tube.
