Default water damaged boxster

Due to rain water floor of my 97 Boxster the car has decided to lock the doors and will not respond to my remote to open. Any ideas on how to get the door opened? I let it dry and left the doors open for a few days and things started to work...now this.

Have you tried using the key blade in the door lock to unlock then open the door?

If this doesn't work the only thing I can think of is callng on AAA or an auto lock specialist to come to the car and open the car door for you.

I've watched this happen (though not with a Porsche): A small air bag -- initially deflated -- in inserted between the window and the door frame. A plastic wedge is used to open up a sufficient gap. Then the airbag is inflated to create a gap large enough to reach in with a plastic rod with a hook on it to operate the door handle from the inside.

Oh, forgot to mention: You might try this first: Find the front trunk lid emergency release cable and use this to open the front trunk. Disconnect the battery and connect a good battery and then see if you can open the door. The remote button many not work -- the car's security module is probably dead due to exposure to moisture -- but the blade in the door lock might work.

Do not leave the battery connected after you get the door open. Remove the passenger seat (the security module is on the floor under the seat and dry the water completely and then look into what will be required to address the ruined security module.)
