Yeah, that's my train car wearing some slightly I'll fitting winter meats. 185k miles, it's great
I keep my 993tt and 997tt in my garage so these just sit outside. found a garage spot for the boxster so that's going away for winter soon.
Also just ordered gt3 brake ducts. $15 per set for original porsche performance parts...awesome

If you have glass, yours is aftermarket or from a newer model.
My window was replaced (and leaks lol), but I believe the sizing is original.

This was a great Boxster post. I have owned a Boxster since 2001, first was 01S lease to 05, then purchased an 01 Base CPO. Boxsters are goof modern cars, working A/C, power everything, ABS, and pretty dependable.
I bought a set of winter wheels and a hardtop to make it usable year round. The car has 130,000 miles of which I put on 110K of em. No major issues or failures not typically encountered in a 130K mile car.
You did get a great deal, I would not take less than 12k for my car as I have maintained it to a high standard with all work performed by the selling dealer. Guess I will never have to worry about selling it.
Best wishes, enjoy the upcoming topless season !
PS- Macster is the best, I have been reading his posts for a long time, thanks Macster, you are definitely a Boxster community fixture.

thanks for the well wishes.
My current plan is:
Tarett Underdrive pulley
new waterpump
160 degree thermostat
boxster S oil cooler
and potentially new 987 motor mount.
I think that should set the car up pretty well for its first DE season.

If you have good (track) tires, then, I would strongly recommend the installation a metal oil baffle together with a sump extension, to prevent oil starvation.
(When you will see the OEM oil baffle, in plastic with rubber "doors", that looks already inefficient at room temperature, you can ask yourself questions about how these could retain oil under the pick-up point, at track oil temperature !)
Note : With "normal" tires you should be OK.
The big problem of a Boxster is that we only have a red lamp that can flash if oil pressure goes low, I really miss an oil pressure gauge.
By the way, about track tires, in my experience, this was the biggest lap time "saver". I currently have Nitto NT01 (and love them), and these gave me 5 to 6 seconds gain per lap in Laguna Seca over regular road tires !
And one more comment : An old Boxster as track car is in my opinion a FABULOUS choice. I have 30 years non stop of multi 911 experience as daily, but, nothing beats the fact to have the engine at the right place to have fun on track, this chassis is just amazing.

Thanks for your input. I'm currently just on street tires, but down the road if I go to r comps or similar, I will consider a deep sump and or extra baffling
