Default 2002 Boxster Top Cover

A while back there was a posting about a plastic part on the metal top cover for the boxster that broke for a few people causing the cover to bend.

Does anyone know if this is an issue with the 2002 Boxster also?

Not sure what part you are talking about. See if it is in the pictures here http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=68

The plastic joints on the push rods have been used from day one to the present. They are now made out of white plastic which seems to be a different material than the red. Jeff

I wonder if this new material is any stronger. The previous posts indicated that if this part borke, the cover would bend.
