Default Custom Fit Indoor/Outdoor Cover

Looking for a recommendation on a quality snug-fitting, indoor/outdoor car cover for a 986 with hardtop.

To be used for spec boxster while sitting outside over night at the track etc.

Shortly after I bought my new 2002 Boxster I bought a Porsche outdoor cover for it. The cover is very nice and fits snuggly.

If you can find one I highly recommend the Porsche cover but of course it is likely to be a bit pricey. I don't recall exactly what I paid for the cover, but it was I'm sure several hundred dollars. Was so impressed with the cover though that when I bought my new 2008 Cayman S I bought a Porsche outdoor cover for it too.

I used a Noah fabric car cover from here and it survived many years of rain, sun, snow, ice, walnuts, etc and was as good as new when I sold it. Fit in a bag and took up half the front trunk. One man attachment...just spread it out and the elastic held it on. I did have a cable and lock for it but never used it. Battery tender often used with it in the winter. I had as much as 12" of snow on it...brushed off with a push broom ... to give you the idea of its durability.
