I love the look of the bra on the Boxster, but HATE the part that covers the headlights...the plastic with the headlamp outlines that never match up right. Really ugly IMO...makes the car look like Petey the Pitbull (Dog from "The Little Rascals.")

So, time to mod...

First, I cut out the hideous plastic headlight covers. But uh-oh...they did serve a purpose...they keep the bra from balooning out from wind. Solution? A bra "under wire!"

I took a coat hanger and bent it to the contour of the car, with a little more depth to the shape in order to create a down-force spring. I then cut a small hole in the felt seam and fed the wire into the piping. Problem solved...the wire acts like a spring, pressing down on the edge surrounding the headlights. Works perfectly.

The wire runs from my finger, around the top of the headlight, and stops at the trunk lid (see pics).
