Default Boxster Check engine light

My check engine light came on in my 98 Boxster. I hooked up to the ODBII system and get a code of P1123. To the best of my knowledge this code means that the lean limits at idle are exceeded. I changed the o2 sensor for that side of the engine but it still gives me the same problem. I also checked the fuel pressure and it seems to be in spec.

Can anybody help with some more causes for this code. ??

Thank you,

what's the mileage of the car? Are you in California by any chance? (i can run an emissions history check w/ your plate #'s)

How does it stink @ idle from the tailpipe? Can you smell alot of unburned gas or is there no smell?
