Default Frozen or locked out??

This winter my poor Boxster was buried in snow for two and a half months. Now the battery is dead. I know how to open the Frunk when the battery is dead but for some reason when I hook up the doner battery to the fuse box the alarm goes off and the frunk solenoid wont pop. The key fob wont disarm the alarm, cycling the key in the ign. wont reset the alarm and turning the key in the door wont reset the alarm. My question is, Does the fuse box bypass method go right to the Frunk solenoid or is the alarm somehow keeping the Frunk solenoid from doing its job? If its a direct shot then maybe the solenoid is dead or still frozen. Can anyone chime in on this circuit? I need to get my baby going.

There is an emergency manual pull cord behind the bumper on the passenger side. Get at the battery, swap it out and then lets see what happens.

Any sign/history of rodents around the car?

The alarm will sound until the engine is started.

Once in a great while I'll leave one of my cars unused long enough the key door unlock button no longer works and I have to unlock the door with the key blade. If I delay starting the engine the alarm goes off. I think I read someplace one has 10 seconds to get the key into the ignition and start the engine to prevent the alarm from going off.
