Glass window top on Pre 03 Boxster model?
I am curious if any body knows the answer, any body did the conversion? I have a friend who wants to put a new 2003 glass back window top to a 02 Boxster S. Any clue?
The 02 Boxster my friend had come with the storage/speaker box right underneath the roll bars and on top of the engine compartment. Does the glass window going to fit with that storage box?

Money is not a concern for this project, but i have spoke to a few persons, no one seems to have a positive answer whether it will fit or not even with a whole new top and frame/skeleton from Porsche!

The speaker/storage box is not an issue since it did not change for 2003.
Part number for a black top with glass window is 986 561 915 05 A10 for $2,069.20. Top frame with the additional bow is 986 561 911 04 A09 for $6,534.16. Plus labor to do the work.
Do not know anyone who has done it due to the cost. Guess your friend will be the first. Jeff

controlit, i like what you said!
But the project will be financed by an insurance settlement (factory top got vandalized), the insurance company will pay for the price of the replacement top.
I have asked couple porsche specialists and none of them said it is a go even if you change the whole top skeleton.
Anyone has an idea?
