Default Front Drain Hose Help

I was cleaning the front drains and I ripped the top of the hose on the drivers side to the left of the battery. The hose has disappeared into the abyss and now I have to replace it. I cannot find the part number or the part anywhere. Anybody have this information?

Thanks.

Here's where the part is missing from. the black is the battery tray with the battery removed.

Don't ever recall coming upon a post from anyone else looking for this.

About all I can think of would be to visit your local Porsche dealer parts department and see if the parts manager can find a drawing of the part and a part number. My limited experience is he has access to the most complete parts drawings/lists there are.

Even if he fails to find the part drawing and part number for your model and MY f car, he might also remember that the part while not shown for your particular model or MY is the *same* part used on another model and MY.

Have you downloaded a copy of the PET for your car?

http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...artscatalogue/

The PET is badly organized so you may just have to page through it.

Badly organized? That's an understatement.

I went through the Boxster version 2 times and never found the front basins or hoses. I found the rear basins and hoses on page 812-00.

I went through the 996 Turbo version 1 time and never found the front basins or hoses. I found the rear basins -- used on the Cab version of the car -- on page 811-13.

Well, I refer you back to my advice offered in a previous post to visit your local Porsche dealer parts department.

The parts guy is in the parts catalog almost all day long -- every time I stop in and pass by the parts department on the way to the service department he's either looking up parts or on the phone -- and if anyone can find what you are looking for he can.

No promises as I have a lot on my mind but I will be by the dealer later today and if I think of it I'll ask my parts department buddy if he can find the part for me and if so I''ll pass on the part #.

Well, no drains for the front water basins turned up. The drain tubes for the rear basins were all we found. Didn't even find the front basins. I do not know if the drains for the rear basins are used at the front.
