Help! Boxster S Doors Won't Lock
It seems like an easy enough thing to do but the doors won't lock. I checked the owners manual to see it there is some sort of obscure trick that I'm not aware and came up empty indicating this may be a more serious problem. Could there be something else I'm not doing correctly? I tried the key remote and I get a "beep" and the interior light dims but no lock. I checked the trunks and the top...all are closed tight. I'm at a loss as to what the issue may be. It's a 2001 Boxster S.

Hmmmm. The horn beep would indicate that something is open, like one of your trunks. Maybe a latch did not properly close?
Do they lock manually when you use the driver's side keyhole?

My 03 has refused to lock a couple of times.
I restarted the car, then shut it down.
It was happy to lock then
....can anybody say reboot

I have the same problem from time to time. It's caused by the small storage box lid (behind the hand brake lever) coming slightly open when u rest ur arm/elbow on whilst driving. Just give it a push down and all should be ok when u use the remote.
