It was actually an interesting process to go through.
The dyno operator had no vested interest in the project, so consistency was assured.
Our sole concern was for which system made the most power.
Temperature correction was also used on each run for consistency.

What I have learnt about Boxster exhausts is this:
Contrary to popular belief, it is easy to get extra power from a Boxster exhaust
What is difficult is getting power AND keeping it quiet.

Hi Helen
what brand did you end up getting ?
I think you were looking at a Janspeed ????
More importantly - how does it sound ?

your correct Q.

it's a Janspeed for a 2.7 boxster and it sounds great. it's got a really deep tone so much more sporty sounding than the original rather hairdressery hum that the old one used to make.

Where can I get more info on the Janspeed muffler?
In regards to more power from changing the muffler.
(it is easy to get extra power from a Boxster exhaust). It seems unless you change the inlet & outlet size you wouldn't be able to get more power. I've cut a few Boxster mufflers open and taken out some of the pipes. I've gotten a better sound, about 20-25% louder on acceleration and stock sounding when cruising. I wanted a better sound, didn't expect to get any more power.
