Default Cayman coil over on a boxster

Hi guys,

i just bought a 2004 boxster s for track use,

im wondering if i can install my JIC coilover that i had on my 2007 cayman S and install them on the boxster. I also have tarett swaybars and links and wondering the same.

ALso, i have a borla exhaust on the cayman, does it fit on the boxster?

thanks a lot for the help!

Default I'm not sure. They are similar, but not identical.

For example, the rear control arms are the same, but the fronts are not. Many strut mounts for the 986 are now superseded by 987 part numbers, so that suggests "maybe yes". The easiest thing is to look at the JIC or BIlstein application guides and see if the kit numbers are the same.

No, it won't work as the 2 generations have different suspension geometries. Wheel carriers and strut mounts are completely different front and rear. Except for the rear lower wishbone, every suspension link is different between these models. If you had bought a Boxster 1 year newer, this would be a different story.
