wow; hopefully the immobilizer unit under the seat is undamaged.

FYI, there is a pull cable behind the front bumper that you can use to open the hood. alternatively, you can jumper the door lock fuse with a 12V source; that should allow you to unlock the trunk.

there are some water drains under the clamshell; my guess is one of them has clogged.

Hi, yes, it is damaged. It looks like I need to buy a matching ECU to go with a replacement?

AFAIK there's no need to replace the ECU/DME when you replace the security module under the seat.

The key ids in the old module will have to be introduced to the new module. If the old module is bad and these can't be read then I hope the owner has the key id tags that came with the keys. Otherwise, unless there's some other way to know the key IDs, new key modules will be needed.

Last but not least, where did the water come from? This needs to be determined and addressed or the same thing can happen again.

you can try opening the immobilizer unit & packing it in rice for a few days. this will absorb remaining moisture; sometimes things will fire back up.

porsche reduced the price from $800 to $400 for the immobilizer. don't pay more. everything will need to be coded at a porsche dealer, so labour will cost too.

as far as finding the leak, even if the drains are clear, remember that the rain drain needs to be clipped in place.
