Personally, I'd be happy to find a first year Silver on Red

The Boxster is a very fun, capable sports cars. Ferry Porsche credited Pinky Lai's design of the 986 and 996 for "saving" Porsche. That was just before his death. Now, will that make those cars more valuable? I don't know. Only future will tell. In the meantime, I'm having fun driving mine around not worrying about rain, dust, or dirt getting on it. It's a car and meant to be driven hard. Rock on!

I've got a 1997 Silver with Red all leather interior with the Aero package. 138,000 miles and still enjoying it. Keep thinking of selling it but I won't get squat for it and I still enjoy driving it around. Have an extra set of wheels (for snow tires) and hard top since I'm in Michigan and still like to take it out during the winter when it's dry out.

Great car. I've owned it for 16 years. I've never owned any other car for longer than 3!

I just bought mine(!), but the article had nothing to do with my decision. I'm a recent empty-nester and did a bunch of research before buying. I flew to Detroit on Friday last week and drove my "new" 986.2 S home 1,350 miles straight. The car was fabulous the whole way.

This is my first P car after decades of wanting. I must say, it was worth the wait! Seal Gray over black, with three pedals. (Just like God intended!)
